Got new struts for my equinox with 120k miles. My vue has 200k. So, I put old equinox struts on vue. They are gm so they are ok quality? I looked online for cross reference and think the swap is ok. Fit wise. I have driven 500miles on vue in last year. Sits mostly. Now I notice a slight drift to left. Struts bolt to knuckle with no adjustment. Just the way it is? Been a long time since I had vue aligned. Bother?

...I would have it aligned. Also invest in a pair of caster/camber bolts, I believe autozone has them. I had to use them on my 2006 when I put kyb struts in mine. I wiped out a pair of front tires quickly before getting the bolts and alignment .Hope this helps, DC.

I use string method to tweak toe. Has worked ok on 1/2 dozen cars. My equinox is perfect. Steering wheel is centered and it tracks straight as an arrow. I thought vue was ok last fall with 2 mismatched front tires. I got 2 newer alloys with great tread and now it drifts. Maybe it’s a tire issue?
