Default Chrysler is union owned? Could Saturn do an employee buy out?

The article for Chrysler is here. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090428/...bHhqwwc9ZI2ocA

Could Saturn dealers and employees really do this too?

Suddenly, I feel much better about the future of Saturn!

There's also news that GM will be government & union owned --> http://business.theglobeandmail.com/...427.wautos0428

If both of these pieces of news comes true, then UAW will become the biggest auto owner in North America. This may cause some serious conflicts of interest with Ford, which is still not union owned but employs UAW workers.

In effect, it becomes the Ford family (and other Ford shareholders) vs the USA government & UAW in the domestic auto business. Can Ford survive against this level of opponents?

I have for many years been a GM customer, but with the sell out to the UAW I have bought my last "AMERICA" car.

The leaders of the UAW make me sick, they have been the leading cause of the downfall of the America auto industry.... We now have an administration in washington that would rather see the companies fail than to make the Union give in.........

I am not talking about the guys on the lines, I am talking about the UAW admin.....I am a member of the firefighters union and I can tell you that our officers don't care anything about the members.........It is all about the their picture ops with jokes like our President........

Honda, Toyota, Kia here I come.............

Unless the gumint wants Trabants, they'll leave Ford alone.

The new Fusion hybrid is the bomb. A promised EV Transit Connect in 2010, EV Focus in 2011, and PHEV Escape in 2012. Ford will own the AFV market in America.
