Default LS Headliner Attachment Strips

The dual-lock strips that normally attach the headliner to the metal roof have peeled off (due to age or heat). I tried getting some replacements from a Saturn dealer, and the 3M dual-lock strips they gave me stuck to the metal roof for about two minutes before peeling off. I have also tried Industrial strength velcro and it does not last more than a day before peeling off.

I have read several posts about redoing the headliner, but no one seems to mention what they use to attach it to the roof. Could anyone direct me to something that would stick to reattach the headliner? Thanks for any assistance!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
