Default Can you install a navigation system in an 09 XE?

I am picking up a 09 XE with the BOse Audio system. Can you put in a navi system in this model aftermarket?

Probably. But it'll be much more expensive than simply using a Garmin or such.

A definite maybe! If you are referring to a factory NAV unit, read on.

I did it in my '07 XR with the advanced audio package. Below is a link to my detailed posting of the steps to do this. It is fairly easy, especially if you are comfortable tearing the dash apart. I also did this in my new Buick Lucerne with not a lot of trouble. The main thing to look for is the availability of the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) wire as this is needed by the factory unit to determine location and speed. Also, buy a unit from an Outlook if possible, so the button lights match the rest of the dash. You likely will need to go to a Saturen dealer for a chasis computer reprogramming so the car can recognize the new head unit. I paid $50 for this service and it took an hour to do.

I had good luck working with an ebay seller "tauk" for the two units I installed. He can get you the right factory unit.
