2001 SL2 Headlight Problem
The driver side headlight is not lighting most of the time. This only happens when I turn on the headlights. If I turn on the headlights and give the light a quick knock on the front of the lens, it lights and stays on for the duration of the drive. There are times (becoming more infrequent) when the headlight will turn on for a series of several headlight on/off cycles. The light does not flicker or turn off when I am driving. Also, I took apart the connector and cleaned it. This did not correct the problem. Any ideas where I should look or test for the source of the malfunction?

I would replace the bulb and hope that fixed it. If not you have a spare headlight bulb.
