Oh, by-the-way, I have to give credit to OldNuc for this ---- if you do buy a bunch of these filters and they're not wrapped properly, just wrap them individually in plastic wrap. They'll last for years!

That's a pretty fine deal on a good filter. In fact that is the best price I have seen on them in quite some time.

Overall I am slightly happier with the Amsoil EaO34 as I already have a preferred customer account and it runs right around $14 when thrown in with a yearly oil purchase and lasts at least 20k. That is getting out of Saturn territory though as most will have burned through several oil changes by then.

Yep. Considering the reason why I bought my WIX filter is cause the oversized WIX one was about 14 bucks. If I had waited one more day then I could of bought this one .

Not like I needed it anytime soon anyway, my next oil change is scheduled in another 1500 miles or so, I just couldn't pass up the deal on the Pennzoil Platinum oil and decided to get a filter while I was out.

I saw it a week ago & that's a pretty good deal for what it is & I have ran them.

Usually run PL20195, but I am reading stories there is quite a bit of tearing of the filter media!

The M1-209 - It's twice the price of the Motorcraft FL-400S though... So would it be worth paying double if we only go 4k-6k miles on the oil?

You could just change the M1-209 every other oil change, instead of every oil change.

IIRC, used to be that oil changes were every 3k and oil filters every other change, anyway way back when you punched a hole in the oil can

I still have over a year's worth PL20195s from the last sale, but might buy some of these anyway, just to have on hand

thanks, Jerry!
