Question 2001 L300 Performance Parts?

My car currently has a Short Ram intake that I fabbed up with 3" silicone and 3" Aluminum Piping. Besides the whole Headers/High Flow Cat/Muffler combo where else can I get more Horsrepowe and Torque???

The V6 is so nice on these cars, I wish they came with a manual Transmission.

Has anyone heard of any performance parts for these cars (V6)...

Forced induction would be the only reasonable way to do it. Unless you found a head/cam package or something for the L81.

there aren't ANY performance parts for the 3.0. never were, never will be. it's a very difficult engine to work on, and had limited applications.

And you're only gonna get mild blow on the stock fuel map too, unless you can find someone who can hack the fuel map and write you a new matrix.

Unfortionatly, no there are no performance parts for the L81. I have the V6 as well in my 03, and currently only have the intake and exhaust, but plans include plugs, the cat, dyno tune and probably some sort of ecu or fuel controller. "Universal" is your friend for the V6 as I've learned lol

Okay so there are no Pre-Made Performance parts for the V6 in the L300, Bummer... Well Lets ask the second question, (Which I'm Sure has been explained and asked before...) I heard somewhere around here that this is the same engine used in a Sabb? I would like to know about this, as most Sabbs are Nicely Turbocharged. And two, maybe someone who is a Saturn tech can explain this to me, If I where to buy an Engine Management System and piggy back the stock ecu, I would in theory be able to play with Fuel map to my liking, while leaving everything else to still run off the stock ecu.

Currently my exhaust is just a MagnaFlow muffler which sounds amazing I might add lol

Plan for the spring is to have a 2.5" cat-back fabbed at the local muffler shop and then throw on a MagnaFlow high-flow cat and resonator. Should be a pretty good set up im hoping. I'll get some pictures when everything is done, but currently all I have done is a MagnaFlow muffler.

I appreciate it. The only problem I've found is pricing haha. Prices on the site are in pounds, which is 1:2 with the dollar! Ouch...and shipping will be pricey too. Whatever it takes to get some performance out of my L300 though lol

The 2000-2004 SAAB 9-5 SE (Arc) made use of the same v6 but in turbo form. The internals may also have been different. Maintenance intervals were indeed different between the Saturn and SAAB. IIRC, boost was in the 3-6psi range resulting in 200hp @ 5,000 rpm and 229 ft/lbs @ 2500-4000 rpm. By comparison the L300 puts out 182hp @ 5600 and 184 ft/lbs @ 3600.

They say 18 BHP which is pretty damn sweet. I emailed the shop and the guy said you can send in your current cams to be upgraded, or they supply you with new cams that they upgrade. $700 for the sent in cams process or $1120 for brand new cams. Shipping is $125 one way from the UK to US with FedEx.
