Default a/c low pressure hose

Just had my a/c serviced and was told and shown the leaky low pressure hose. I want to replace the hose my self and they take it back to have the system refilled. Does anyone know the part number. Rockauto has a couple hoses listed and I am having trouble telling which one I need. Also when I replace the hose is the anything special to do besides replacing the hose and the o-rings>

Year, model, manual, auto? The low pressure line can be described as low side/suction hose. Tried finding OEM numbers from GMpartsonline, http://parts.nalleygmc.com/, calling your local GM dealer, ackits.com?

When a line is replaced, its presumed refrigerant either leaked out or removed by a shop for recycling (EPA regulations), to prevent an unexpected high pressure discharge when disconnecting any line. Once removed, the replacement hose O-ring is lubed with R12 mineral oil (or drug store mineral oil) before tightening fittings. No PAG oil for O-ring lube. The compressor side uses a flat seal, not O-ring. If you substitute, you risk any leak that may result from using incorrect parts. Check the seal and O-ring removed from the old line and use to search for a replacement kit sold over the counter, search online or visit GM for parts. Once assembled, either continue with evacuating this repaired system with your equipment or have an a/c shop perform the rest of the a/c work.

Posting piecemeal info just prolongs threads. Perhaps if you consolidate info more concisely no one will have to read every post. As to url's, the simple way around for new members is to put spaces in a few places - most here know to copy and paste url's without the spaces to find correct links. New members are restricted to (prevent spammers) until a number of posts are made and determined to be genuine posts and not blatant ads.
