Dizzy Serpintine belt tensioner

First of all, if this was covered in other tech issues, I didn't find it. Sorry! I did find one for a 96 SL1 (I believe it was), However my 93 SC1 is apparently different! How do you reach the upper bolt? The upper roller (Or what ever it is) is close to the Front and the Power steering is close the rear with the Crank pully close on the bottom! The lower bolt came right out through the wheel well but I can not get to the other bolt! I tried from the top and the bottom. CAN NOT DO IT! MUST NOT BE PRUDENT!! (Sorry slipped into Bush speak) Is the secret a 10 MM swival socket? I hope so because the only other option is the "DEALER"!!!!! The youtube video is great, however, My engine bay (and frame, and all other parts) have 166K miles on them and I don't think there is any clean spot on there! Not to mention It would take a 5 year old to get their hand down there! Any input is greatly appreciated. BTW, Sorry for the spelling. My spell check is on the fritz!!!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

you could always try throwing a block of wood under the lower motor dogbone and taking off the top mount that might give you the room you need to get down there, i took mine off from underneath the car when it was about 2 feet off the ground on 4 jack stands

I was really not wanting to start the engine removal process! I thought about removing the power steering bolts (not the hoses) and going from there! But they are a ***** to locate and remove!

A long 6 point box end wrench will do it. You get at it from below.

I bet you now know why some people keep the engine compartment cleaner than the outside of the car.

taking the top mount off is as easy as removing 5 bolts its not really a big deal but like i and oldnuc said it's pretty easy to get at from underneath

when i've been putting my car back togeather i've cleaned up everything wiring, block, compartment, all the manifolds you could eat off em now, and let me tell you it makes it very easy to spot leaks and not look like a total grease monkey when your done working
