My kid has said a few times "if we only had unlimited funds and a black hole to store excess Saturns." Though that is impossible onlinebiker is a close enough approximation. You win bragging rights in my book.

For all those that have owned one Saturn since new, that is cool too. I'm in that club although I've channeled a little bit of onlinebiker and bought an SC2, but that is mainly because my kid has my SL2.

I'd really like a Gen 2 SW2 with a manual transmission.

I've never sold, junked, or stopped driving a Saturn.

Just one.

But we've owned it since it was new, and we were "Saturn Launched" from the dealers showroom.

Let's see.... only one Saturn but I
m toying with the idea of seeking out a 2nd, a Vue, or possibly but not likely an Outlook.

1981 Chevy LUV (never in my name, but purchased used for me)
1982 Dodge Charger (Grandmothers car that I got after several years, she had gotten it new)
1969 Buick LeSabre (I still have this, but I don't drive it)
1986.5 Toyota Supra (Purchased in the dark, sold at a huge loss, yes Toyota actually called it by the half year)
1989 Jeep Cherokee (sold to my brother after I was done with it)
1999 Chevy K3500 (currently at over 290K miles)
2006 Chevy Malibu (totaled in 2006 by a deer... that was a great driving car)
1993 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible (Was my grandmothers last car that I put in my name so I could borrow it for awhile. I sold it after she passed. It was a money pit since new... I had all the records from her and the previous 2? owners)
2000 Saturn SL2 (given to me by my sister so I wouldn't have to spend so much in gas for work. She had purchased it used from the Saturn dealer when it was only a few years old, before she was married with kids. It had sat for about a year before I got it.)

...
2000 SL2 Automatic (back on the road) 17X,XXX miles.
1999 Chevy K3500

454cid - we have a 94 Lebaron convertible. Very solid body. Zero rust. I drive it quite a bit in the summer - and it's our Saturday garage sale go getter... Very reliable and low maintenance.

Very interesting... mine/grandma's was pretty rust free visibly. The transmission eventually gave up. I don't recall the mileage when that happened, but a former coworker that rebuilt transmissions on the side, and sort of had a hobby of buying used Chryslers with transmission problems said we got more miles out of it than typical. The transmission is what did it in, for me. I parked it, and eventually sold it for $600. The buyer dropped a battery in and drove it away with two gears.

I wish I would have been able to drive it a time or two with the top down. I think my grandmother only had it down a few times. My cousin said they had it down when he stayed with her for a week or so one summer when he was a young teen. I'm not sure if I ever saw it down myself. I didn't want to take it down when I owned it because I wasn't sure it would stay in one piece. It had gotten pretty hard, and I didn't want it to crack knowing I'd eventually sell it.

3 Saturns, 17 other vehicles.
68 Fiat 124 Sports Spyder (deemed to rust out even with Ziebart)
73 Fiat 124 Sports Spyder (didn't seen to learn on the first one)
59 MGA Coupe (never could time both carbs together correctly)
68 Corvette - sigh
75 Malibu Classic (never even had a light bulb go out in 4 years)
79 Audi 5000S
78 Suburban
80 Malibu
85 Suburban
78 Ford Extended Cab long bed pickup (don't remind me)
88 Suburban
91 Chevrolet Cavilier (kids nicknamed Possum)
96 Suburban (just sold last spring, 332K on it, original sensors, oil and water
pumps)
92 Dodge Dakota
98 SW2 (200+K)
2003 LW200 (melted in house fire 2016)
01 SC1
05 Malibu Maxx
04 Suburban Z71
11 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ

None of my vehicles has ever had their engines opened for any reason (and there is a good reason why all these engines lasted), read it, no engine work ever needed on any of them. Transmissions, well that's a whole different story with the older suburbans....

Nearly purchased a 1973 type 135 Fiat Dino (chain driven Ferrari engine) However, did not buy because it just would have given the police notice to try to catch me .... a tremendous vehicle (and the Dino would have beaten the pants off my hot Corvette with it's 427 CID, 430 HP with the L88 motor setup).

92 SC2 (Manual, sold)
95 SL1 (Manual, gave away to family member)
97 SL1 (Manual, family borrowed and then crash it)
98 SL1 (Manual, still have it)
01 SC1 (Manual, sold it)
02 SL2 (Auto, sold it Ė donít like automatics lol)

I'm a huge S series fan, but have since moved onto Honda/Toyota when it comes to compact cars. The stuff GM makes today has really gone down in quality. I think the S series is as close GM got to Japanese quality control.

Here's my history. Was licensed in 1986 so 33 years 2 months 24 days of it. I can't brag as I only 5 Saturns on my daily driver list however I've almost been driving a Saturn every year since the inception of the Saturn brand. There was only 3 years I didn't have one in the driveway; 91, 98 & 99. That's something. I have yet to own a coupe.

Daily drivers...
1980 Pontiac Acadian (86-87,beige,manual,used)

Parts cars...
2001 Saturn SL1 MT
2001 Saturn SL2 AT (10th Anniversary Edition)
1996 Saturn SL2 MT
1999 Saturn SL2 MT

I also introduced my parents to the Saturn brand and they owned 2; a 93 SW2 AT which I purchased when they bought their second, a 2000 SW2 AT. That car was retired in 2015 due to body rust.

Man you guys must be hard on cars...

I've owned 3 saturns.

93 SL1, traded to buy the 95 SL1 I'm driving now

94 SL2 I bought for $500 and fixed up for my daughter to drive. Lost due to someone not knowing that a red light means stop and not speed up and run it. Thankfully she only got a mild concussion.

Are you saying you've only owned 3 cars in total and they were all Saturns? Over how many years are we talking?

I wouldn't say I'm hard on vehicles; each one acquired was done so with a purpose. Early on it was upgrades by increasing means followed by marriage and kids. 1 kid = small station wagon; 2 kids = larger station wagon, 3 kids = minivan and 4 kids = Suburban. Of coarse you always need a little runabout (or 2) that's good on fuel. Now I'm at a point where I'm introducing new drivers onto the road.

Lol. Yup. Two years earlier I put in a new engine
., all new brakesb. bccwheel bearings and brake lines...

I was hoping it would 'last longer.

We are looking for a solid body. A 95 or 96 prefered.

I have only owned one Saturn. My wife and I bought a 96 SL1 new. It was a big event at the dealer. Pictures and cake!

We are still driving it and she is running strong. 223,000 miles. I love this car!

No I've owned a number of others as well but none were saturns. I try to keep one car with fairly low miles for the Mrs to drive and to take on vacations and trips. THere have also been 3 pick-up's. Current stable is a 12 Cruze, 08 Cherokee, 95 k2500 diesel, and a 1938 chevy street rod as well as the 'highmile'
