I've never purchased a 'full' seat cover. I usually only put a water resistant cover over the seat and it works for protecting the original seat. My 10 year old seat still looks great. Of course, only if you remove the cover.

I bought seat covers for my sc1 from crappy tire a few months ago. They fit loosly so I tossed em in the wash then dryer. They fit... not as loosly. They are very universal so you may need to cut and stitch holes for the seatbelt and/or seat reclining lever. I havnt yet but will eventually for a more snug fit and appearance.

Are yours shot or are you looking a protecting the original seats?
Most any (all) of the covers I've ever seen at the FLAPS are crap. Anything decent fitting/looking/lasting = $$.

Today, I was at the local Saturn Parts counter and was ready to buy a seat cover (see below).
I was going to gamble on a "21305628 '95 S-Series Gray" until I found out it is for a "Sedan" (as opposed to a "Coupe") Can anyone tell me if the '95 Sedan front seats are very different from a 1998 Coupe front seats. Meaning....so different that a seat cover would not fit. Quote:

I looked thru the satfans SL gallery pictures and '95 look like they will fit. If not, somebody with a '95 S-Series will get front seat covers
![]() Same for the '02 S-series. I ordered a 21305628 and a 21304482. We'll see how it turns out. Seat covers are not for the meek. |

Here's what I bought:
P/N 21305628 fits one seat for $45.50 + tax It is TopQuality and there is a map pocket on the back. Here it is 10 minutes out of the box: ![]() ^I will test drive it for a while before I decide on buying one for the other side. Compared with the rest of the interior, the horizontal bars are kinda like mixing plads with stripes ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------- P/N 21304482 (picture below) This will go to my relatives for their 2002 SL1 ![]() Notice the Driver OR Passenger Seat Last edited by bumpdraft; 11-25-2011 at 07:15 PM. Reason: Cover fits either driver's or passenger's seat, typical |

Damn! Only $45 for OEM from a dealer? I'd say that's well worth it. Looks like a score to me?

Looks pretty good. Is it water resistant? I tend to get into a car after a sweaty workout.

I'm going to remove the seat so I can spray it with 3M protectant and make sure the cover is secured. I will take a picture of the back of the seat cover. It has some quilted thickness to it. You could spray it with anything you want, athough CampDry might make your eyes water for a few months ![]() Quote:
![]() They actually call me “sir” without adding, “you’re causing a scene.” The covers are coming from Vintage Parts, available only thru a GM dealership. Last edited by bumpdraft; 11-26-2011 at 10:05 AM. |

I have bought seat covers from Big Lots. The last ones were around $10.00 a piece. They were heavy. I have worn a hole in my leather seat due to my large gluteus maximus glazing the edge when I get in and out of my Saturn. The purpose of seat covers was to protect myself and passenger from heat and cold. My last ones even have a picture of a Tiger on them. They are comfy and functional.
Regarding Saturn parts. My ignition switch broke when a local BMW shop was doing repairs on my car. They just so happen to do all the German car work for the parent company for my old Saturn dealership. Got a new keyed OEM ignition switch. So now I go to a BMW shop to get my Saturn parts. ![]()

The actual seat covers are sitting in a Vintage Parts warehouse. Vintage Parts only deals with a GM service parts operation at a GM dealership. The all-seeing IRS charges yearly taxes on any stock that a company keeps on hand. To avoid this punishment, GM sold a bunch of their slow-moving stock to Vintage Parts. - Evidently with the agreement that the parts are accessible only thru an official GM entity. I only know what's in Post #5 (above) --------------------------------------------------------- Here is the back side of P/N 21305628 ![]() It looks like 21305628 better fits my dad's 1998 SW2. His seats have smaller "wings" along each edge of the seat back than my '98 SC2. The larger "wings" on my '98 SC2 cause the seat back to "tent" a little. Still a very good fit. |

I recently went to my favorite Pic & Pull junk yard and bought a left hand seat back for my right hand seat that was badly worn. I took off the cover, removed the still sticking foam from the inside, the slipped it over my old driver's seat back. Fits like a glove and the color has faded, right along with my seat color, to match perfectly. Fits in all the right places, of course and was cheap. Just an idea.
