Dizzy No Coolant level / transmission temp TellTale light

1998 SL2 Wrench light on codes 1640 and 1641 .
Telltale light for Coolant Level/transmission temp... Does NOT come on when I turn the ignition on. Only the WRENCH when running (25-40 sec after starting).
Has anyone ever seen this before?

I checked and got voltage at instrument cluster connector(Drk Green wire) disconnected battery and sent 9v (using 9v battery) + to connector with - side grounded. TellTale bulb lit up. Checked wire with ign off and got resistance.
High ground side resistance during bulb check or engine running.

If anyone has any ideas what else I can check before I blame the PCM?

Thanks

I checked the coolant level sensor. Check connector 14v across the connector. Open connector engine running - no light. Shorted connector engine running - no light. Also checked engine fan comes on with A/C on, so fan relay works.

Sounds like a bulb failure.

Are you sure about that? I'm not trying to be a smarty pants, but engine sensors use a 5-volt reference signal (oxygen sensors are the exception).

Problem Solved
I figured while I had the top of the dash off I would check the PCM connectors. Pulled out the PCM and saw that one of the wires was just hanging. Found the other end under the dash and soldered it back together. No more wrench light and teltale for coolant level lights when ignition is first turned on.

This just happened out of the blue? Something must've cut/broken that wire.

Broken wire between PCM and dash.

Yes it did measure 14 Volts at the Water Coolant level connector. I also thought it would be 5V. Maybe it had something to do with the broken PCM wire being broken.
