Default 2002 SL2 error codes 341 & 442

I need help with codes 341 & 442 in my father in laws 2002 Saturn SL2, Auto Zone checked and said 341 something about the crankshaft sensor and 442 was something about the car being running well he is filling it with gas or bad gas cap is that true. And he doesn't fill the car with gas well its running.

It's good you posted the codes. As usual, AutoStoned lives up to its name. P0341 is "Camshaft position sensor performance". Our cars do not have a camshaft position sensor. AutoStoned has, apparently for years, harbored some delusion that the cam position sensor is somehow related to the crank position sensor. They're not. They have a history of selling crank position sensors to people getting this code. If it were medicine, it would be malpractice.

Even though we don't have a crank position sensor, we can still get a P0341 code. To deal with the P0341, replace your spark plugs and, if they're not known to be good, spark plug wires. Also, remove the coil packs and ignition module. Clean up all the surfaces which ground the packs and module. Visit our How-To Library and search on "P0341" for a more compete description.

P0442 is EVAP system Small Leak detected. It's possible the fuel cap is bad. Or, maybe FIL is not fully tightening the cap when he gasses up (it should "click" 3-4 times).

Oh, and if you're referring to him gassing up while the engine is running (took a bit of decoding to decipher that sentence), it's a good thing he doesn't; it's illegal and dangerous.
