I am looking to install a hitch mounted wiring harness.
I have two questions 1. Which entry point is the best to use for the trailer wire harness? 2. What is the best method to seal the entry point? Last edited by hoob; 07-17-2008 at 11:21 PM. |

Most people, myself included, store the wire harness in the side cover panel (where the jack is stored). We spliced into the wiring in that area to make the harness work, so keeping it in there make sense too. And when we use it, we just run it out the tail gate.

I could never find a source for a grommet so I ran my wiring through
the existing grommet next to the jack for the signal wiring. From there it runs towards the left rear light assembly and then down to the hitch. |
