TXRLU, I tried to respond to your email, but it got rejected.

Currently, as far as my limited reading comprehension goes, according to the website you gave me, on the Ions they are offering $2500 cash back and 1.9% or 0% no cash back. I don't know if that is only for the sedans though and not the coupes. I don't think I am ready to trade in my sporty little guy for a *sedan*. I can't tell that they are even offering anything on the coupes. But, on the Saturn website they are offering 0% financing on the sedans and coupes.

My real issue is time, the offers all end the 31st of May and I am headed to the mainland on the 20th. So even if they went looking for one, it wouldn't get here in time for me to take delivery.

I am ok with waiting, I am disppointed, who doesn't love a shiny new car. But maybe this fall when they are trying to dump their 2004's to make room for the 2005's I will check again.

Thanks for the discount offer, that is really nice of you. I will have to remember that and come knocking on your door in the future.

And I voted for the red Satty Redline.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Our Ion 3 Sedan is probably (in my opinion) the nicest car my wife and I have ever owned (it is mostly her car, I drive a 78 Caprice as my main car). It has about 18,000 miles on it and has been almost completely trouble-free. The two recalls were total non-issues and we have a minor concern with the weather stripping (thats... um... probably my fault *cough cough* um...).

We'll see how it holds up, but I think I got a good one. The CVTs have had some trouble but my 5sp auto "aisin" transmission (as I think it is called) has been a champ. I can't fault the car in any way.

Good luck with your future car purchace!
