2007 Outlook XE
Default Front Link Kit

I have a 2007 Outlook XE and have had to replace the front link kit twice now in the past 10 months. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had mine replaced on October 15th at 37,111 miles. Out of warranty but they did it as a warranty repair anyway, so it didn't cost me anything. I think they just replaced one of them, not both.

Moose/HockeyMom-

Are you referring to the Sway Bar Links? I just purchased a 2007 Outlook XR for my wife, and upon getting the vehicle home, I noticed a "knocking" noise in the front suspension. After further checking, I found one end of the driver side sway bar link was worn out. This is odd for a vehicle with only 42,000 miles on it, and from what I'm seeing on the forums, a common issue with the Saturns.

Anyway, this is a very simple repair using a 39.00 replacement part. Hopefully the aftermarket links are better than the OEM from the dealer.

This is what was listed on the bill, not sure if it's the same or not. It sounded like there was something loose under the vehicle and every time I would hit a small bump it would "rattle". It cost me $115 Cdn to have it replaced. I was about 1000 kms oast warranty and they would do anything for me. They did tell me that the new part has a 1 year warranty, I told him I hope this isn't a annual event.

Moose- That was exactly the sound mine had. It took me about 30 minutes to replace the link. However, 115 Canadian is fairly reasonable for that repair including the part.
