1994 SL2
Default flashing dash warning lights

Heres the backdrop: 94 SL2, 155k. Just sat thru torrential rainstorm, and I mean torrential, and the car is not overly watertight. Start it up this morning and the abs light comes on and the e-brake light is flashing. Step on the brake and the e-brake light stops flashing, but abs light stays on. Get back on the gas and off the brake and the flashing e-brake light returns. Car not running all that well, hesitating, etc. Yesterday, car ran terrific with no problems. Puzzled. What do I need to do other than let it "dry out" for a couple of days?

Default Re: flashing dash warning lights

The "e-brake" light is not only for the e-brake. It means there is a problem with the braking system. A flashing light signifies a severe problem. Check under the hood. Check the fluid resevoir, check the brake booster. It could just be the ABS fault. I'm betting the ABS module got soaked in the down-pour. It might be fried
