Dizzy 2002 LW200 Gasoline Leak

Car has been smelling like gasoline leak. It's raining outside and I made a u-turn in parking lot and I could see gas in the water on the parking surface from under the car - between the tire tracks in the wet. Definitely coming from under my car. I have not checked where it is coming from yet. I will put it on a lift Monday morning.
Has anyone had to replace the fuel line? What about using Dorman Nylon fuel Line? Any more suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
TJ

Check the fuel filter lines and filter under the car in front of the RR wheel.

If all looks good there, it's likely a leak at the fuel pump. The plastic fittings on the fuel pump crack very easily. Usually the return line for some reason. See if the tank appears to be wet on top.

Let us know what you find

At least the L series cars have plastic fuel lines. The Ions have steel lines and they rust through. Didnít you cut a hole under the back seat and replace your pump a while back? Iíd look there first and see if it is wet with fuel.

No. Not on my 2002. I cut the hole & replaced the fuel pump on my 2003. The 2003 LW200 is still doing OK. It's my 2002 that has the fuel leak.
Thanks

Probably the fuel pump. That is why I'm doing so much work on our LW200. If the car is sitting on level ground and the engine is running and you see fuel dripping from the area in front of the rear passenger tire then it is the fuel pump and probably one or both of the inlet/outlet tubes has cracked. The fuel finds its way down the path where the fuel line is clipped into the tank and finally drips off either the fuel filter or fuel line. Most likely the fuel lines will be ok. I dropped the tank in my car with only a few broken studs. Exhaust, exhaust shields, rear stabilizer bar, fuel filler neck assembly (could also be a source of fumes- mine was rusted through), electrical connections all must come off. Then, if you are lucky, the brakes lines won't be totally rusted through like mine. Oh, and also, the shield that protects the tank disintegrates in northern climates where salt is used on the road. I found a good one in a TN salvage yard. I have another post going chronicling my saga. Once the car is back together I will feel much better about my daughter driving it.

And, I just thought of this. Could you do me a favor and take a picture of your 2002 ABS pump/valve top and trace the two lines to the firewall connections and to the back of the car? Two of those lines run to the firewall where there are connections to the two lines running underneath the car to the rear. I removed my lines without marking which went where and I can't tell from looking at the ABS module how the lines are paired. I know that the driver's side front and passenger side rear brakes are supposed to be connected and vise versa. Many thanks if you could do this. We have friends with a VUE and I was hoping that the ABS pump in that car was the same as the L-series but I haven't been able to take a look yet.
