2006 ION-2 Quad Coupe
Default Re: Ion Photos Free For All!!!

First thing i did was lower the car 1.75" so it didnt look like a 4x4....i'll fill the rest of the wheel well with wheel when i get em. Only other mod so far is the eyelids i made for em. I plan to make a subtle body kit for the car and then custom subboxes in the rear on both sides of the trunk so i can still fold down the seats and use the entire length if i have to. I like the interior although over time i might make the silver trim pieces look like burl wood or something. Dont plan to go too overboard on this car as i do have another project car although i would like to do some minor mods like TB spacer, CAI and exhaust.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

As modest as she looks, this car has the following, in the order of installation.

Ion 3 16" alloy wheels and 205/55-16 tires.
AEM cold air intake.
Thermal R&D exhaust.
RSM Racing 62mm throttle body.
PowerAid throttle body spacer.
Redline front swaybar and Progress 22mm rear swaybar.
Jason Smith strut tower brace.
RSM Racing/Pacesetter header, high-flow catalytic converter, custom downpipe.

Car makes 132.5 WHP, 144.7 WTQ, gains of 12 HP and 21 lb.-ft. of torque. With a 15% drivetrain loss, that means 152 HP at the crank, and 166 lb.-ft. of torque. Engine efficiency is 0.99 WHP per cubic inch, 1.08 WTQ per cubic inch.

I've drag-raced at the Southeastern 1/8th mile Dragway, autocrossed with SCCA Solo II on two separate driver training days (8 hours a day of constant training), and drove US 129, the Tail of the Dragon. 311 curves in less than 11 miles.

So yeah, that's my contribution.

Here are mine from last year. I have yet to take updated ones...

On the appearance side of things, I now have a cobalt DC Sports cat-back exhaust modded to fit, some vent visors, hyperwhite bulbs, smoked plate covers added in addition to all you see in these pics. In terms of performance, well, much has changed. I'll update you all in a couple weeks in the mods section. Keep on the lookout for that.

Just want to say, alot of IONs looking good these days. Keep up the good work fellas.
