Default Rear awd brake backing plate

My vue just failed inspection. One of the things that failed was both rear brake backing plates. Im having issues trying to identify the correct part. Is it the same # as the front shield?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

No. Front and rear shields are not identical regardless of model or manufacturer because the caliper and rotor sizes differ - the front brakes are always larger.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find rear brake AWD information. Unfortunately, no part numbers are listed for rear shields in that section.

According to every site I looked at, it looks like the shield part numbers are the same for FWD and AWD. They also work on several GM vehicles

Yes, FWD and AWD models do use the same backing plate. They also use the same wheel bearings so there is no reason for them to be different.

The backing plates are completely gone (rusted off) on our Equinox. I decided not to replace them because I really don't want to try to remove the hub assemblies. I'm pretty sure these were around $35 the last time I looked a couple months ago, but are $53 now from RockAuto.
