Default Squeaking noise

There is a terrible squeel coming from my engine bay. It's obviously a pulley or the belt slipping but I can't tell which. Recently replaced water pump and got coolant all over the belt, but sooner or later the belt should have dried up right?

I think if it's not just the need for a new belt, the leaking coolant from the old pump could have corroded a pulley or something?

What are your thoughts and guesses?

Here's the kicker. The sound is only there when the engine is stone cold. Gone after things have been heating up for a while.

Thanks for your comments guys.

Does it do it all the time or only at start up for a couple minutes?

Antifreeze is a lubricant. The belt is now ready for replacement and all of your pulleys require a very good cleaning as the stuff does not wash off real easy. Formula 409 or a similar kitchen grease cutter and water will do the job. The pulleys must be dry before you install the new belt or you will ruin another belt. If you have both power steering and A/C the belt length is 778 and not 780 if you are buying aftermarket.

I've had the Tensioner pulley go bad and would only squeel real bad for a minute or so after a cold startup, especially in the winter months here in FL.

If the antifreeze lubed the belt permanently then why does it go away after the engine (and subsequently the pulleys and belt) gets warm?
