Edit: Just looked up the parkinglight/turn signal schematics in the service manual. No flasher module. Signal goes from the multifunction switch to the BCM and out to the lights.

balls. So would LED's not really be an option without load resistors? I hate using them. =(

I think I read that people on the Malibu forums used LED bulbs with no resistors and they worked. I have some spare wedge LED bulbs. Maybe I'll give it a try. I already have LED bulbs for the front fender markers with no strange effects.

Well, forget that assumption. Popped in a couple of LED bulbs and it flashed like a Jack Russell terrier on crack.

Need someone with an FSM to get component locations and see if it's BCM, solid state, or hidden somewhere. I checked all 3 boxes, and didn't find one, but it could be one of those silent tie-in's that GM loves to use.
If it's BCM, maybe a TEC2 or HPTuners could get in and change the load settings so it doesn't think a bulb is out? |

Is there anything in the FSM about the flasher functions and/or service?

Electrical components? These cars are full of electronic components. Do you want to know whats on the front, back and sides of the three fuse boxes or something?

I know the Camry's have a solid state inside the dash, not near any fuses. |
