2007 Outlook XR
Default Best reading yet on DIC

Okay, I know it's more interesting to talk about what has gone wrong with the Outlook, but stuff goes right with it, too! Today, with four people, on the highway, with A/C on(73 F), 35 lbs of pressure in the tires, the DIC registered 33.5 mpg(6.8L/100km) for 4 miles. This is the best reading yet. I know it's not totally accurate or scientific, but it keeps getting better! Anyone else as pleased because of your readings?

My best reading was 13.8L/100kms avg economy on my 2004 Silverado after a 3 hour highway trip. But today it said "SERVICE 4WD" It's going into the dealer tomorrow.

Sorry to hear! Hope they can fix it without too much hassle. Have you ever done better on the DIC, even for just a short time?

Well I've momentary ones of like 9 or 10 while cruising and of course 2-4 while slowing down. I usually just record my trip odometer on my gas receipts and figure out my average MPG per tank.

The fuel economy reading on the DIC on my HHR has totally matched my calculations at fill up. Very pleased.

My brother said the same thing about his new HHR. Enjoy!
