Default ION QC- Sunroof or moonroof?

On a 2004 ION QC, is the sunroof just supposed to lift, or does it slide open like my 2005 VUE? Right now, I can only get it to lift open. Trying to verify what's supposed to happen. Thanks!

On my 06 Saturn Ion QC the roof tilts open at the back first, then it slides all the way open. I'd assume this is the way they would all work....
My 96 SL2 and 98 SL1 have joined together to become one. So I guess I now have a 1996/8
