Transaxle Range Switch\Neutral Start Safety Switch

I just put in a new transaxle safety switch/neutral start safety switch in my 02 SC2. Now it starts and idles fine but when I put it in drive it doesn't want to upshift from first gear. It drives fine in second and third when I put it in second or third manually. There are no check engine codes or anything going wrong. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?

Was it working (shifting) ok before you replaced the switch, or did you replace the switch to try and cure a problem? (Need more information)

It ran perfectly fine until that switch went out so I replaced it and now it will work sometimes perfect and other times it won't shift out of first gear while in drive. I am going to try to realign it because that is where the tranny guy said to start and then I think I'll take it in to him.
