I have an 04 VUE Redline. It is completely stock. I am a complete novice and trying to install a new stereo. I ordered the harness adapter from the company I bought the Pioneer stereo from. The problem is that the stock stereo has TWO plugs going into it. Does this have something to do with ONstar or what is the purpose and Do I need it connected. Also, there was one other slide connector on the stock stereo. There is no place to attach it to the new radio. I do not know what this is either (maybe a ground?) or if I need it. I am attaching photos. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Stereo Install
The second plug is used for OnStar and the factory satellite radio tuner.
If you're not using OnStar you won't need it. The factory satellite radio tuner is not compatible with aftermarket radios so you can't use that either.
