I don't have HIDs but I did get LED 9006 bulbs in place of the silverstars. Side by side with HIDs you can't really tell the difference. Just an other alternative to HIDs.

I have my projector headlights out of the car right now (HID kit blew up). Someone make me an offer to take them off my hands before I order a new HID kit.

The cheapest conversion kit is $270 which includes the HID kit.

I've seen nothing but good reviews of the products from this site including the life of the actual HID kits. If I were going to modify my Vue I would use the products. The cheaper Amazon/Ebay HID kits usually come in 35w or 55w and have horrible longevity, you will be dealing with burned out ballasts and bulbs on the regular.

Old thread, I know, but I have a question with respect to my 2006 Vue. For low beam application, what are you folks doing for Daytime Running Lights, where the DRL resistor chops the voltage to your low beams? Halogen works, I know, but what about HID or LED?

I just did this in my '04. It turns on the HID's for the DRL's. Since the HID's are powered through a relay, they are at full power. Need a load between the relay and the stock connector so the DRL system activates. (Otherwise it gives bulb-out and doesn't turn on.)
