Default rear brakes

saturn 2002 l300, had new front rotors/brake pads replaced on my car @ 103000miles wondering it i need to replace my rear rotors/brakes also as a maintenance if it never has been replaced. also is there a difference/decrease in braking power if the rear brakes pads were never replaced. I know weights shift all to the front during braking and the front rotors and pads will take more of stress.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Default Re: rear brakes

Inspect the rear brake pads. If they are worn out replace them and the rotors. If not then don't.
Brakes are only a maintenance item when they are worn out. There is no set mileage for them to be replaced at.

turns out all my rear and front brake pads were some sort of cheap material crap that causes a delay in braking power/ and stop. Put in new hawk brand brakes and holy smokes what a difference in pedal feel, more stiff and stopping power.
