1998 SL2
Default Introduction

I purchased my 1998 SL2 Saturn, used, with 56,000 miles in 2005. She now has over 214,000 and still running well due to normal repairs and treating her gently.

When I was a kid, I would do basic repairs on my vehicles, with my father's help, and now am getting back into that mode after a 45 year hiatus.

I still work part time as a webmaster and graphic artist, for friends and family, so I have a tad of time on my hands to get back into getting to know my Saturn.

That's fantastic.

Sadly, around here, no matter how gently we drive our cars, rust still gets to them

I have my Saturn visually inspected, for any hint of a problem, every 3 months, when I do an oil change and in California I have found no problem with rust, fortunately.

Thank you for mentioning Richpin6a. He was one of the first that I watched in order to gain more information on how to do small things on my car.

Through watching youtubes I was able to clean the Turbo Body, replace the O2 sensor, EGR valve, ETC and IAC. I did have the dealer replace the TPS (purchased the OEM) due to what I read on this forum.
