This happened to me and your problems are exactly what I had. Changed the relay behind the hazards button and it never gave me a problem again. This was three years ago.

I have something similar with you all.
Sometimes my indicator just doesn't work after using it for a whole trip. Neither left or right are working then, and some tell tale things are that the indicator sounds out of rhythm, makes weird buzzy noises, and apparently has trouble working when I have my heat going in the car. And with temperatures around the 45 degrees Fahrenheit, I'd love to have some warmth going in my car when I'm driving.

So from what I have been reading, i should replace the indicator unit?
