Default Shocks / Struts for 2007 Saturn 3 2.4

I own a 2007 Saturn Ion 3 with 2.4 engine with FE2 suspension and looking to replace front shocks / struts. Will all Saturn Ion shocks / strut fit the FE2 suspension (Rock Auto doesn't list it it is for a FE1 or FE2 suspension)?

Thanks

Yes, they will all fit, but dampening stiffness may be a bit different. I recommend KYB suspension parts.

They don’t list differences between FE1 and FE2, but what I did was jump directly to the FE5 suspension (used ACDelco brand). If you’re wanting quick struts you can’t do FE5 without mixing and matching parts. Dampers are from 2009 Cobalt SS/TC, upper strut mounts and bearings are from your Ion, springs have to come from an Ion, whether you get stock or some kind of drop spring. The parts go together fine and the Cobalt struts mount to our knuckles fine

“Stock” is nowhere in my vocabulary...
