Oh man I forgot the two most important things!

Confidence and Patience. If you don't believe you can do it then you probably can't, don't get discouraged. Be patient, it's a virtue.
AND STAY ORGANIZED!
Also you will need a friend to help you out at times.

let me also add:

the engine hoist will need a slider bar or slant bar.

30MM drive axle nut socket

drain pan, and some bottles to take the oil and coolent to be recycled

for the measurement tools include a mircometer and t-gauges

i beleave the torque wrench will need to read up to 159 ft-lb, an inch-pound torque wrench will also come in handy.

a cheater bar may be needed for the crank and axle nuts (basicly a thick pipe that will fit over your breaker bar.)

i personally would would also use some 1/2" sockets, but thats not necessary. a set of deep wells and rachet extentions also come in handy.

the cylinder hone should be 2.25" IIRC

a spark plug gap tester(please don't tell me you are reusing the old spark plugs on your new engine?)

a crank pulley puller may or may not be needed, as well as a strap wrench.

a wire cutter, if properly used, can help pull out any plastic retainers.

zipties

2 coat hangers or zipties for hanging brake claipers

a hex head socket will be needed for the oil rail, i'm not sure what size

a few more quarts of oil for lubing bolts, honing cylinders, ect...(dyno i'm told works better for rebuilds, wait a wait 3k or 6k miles before using synthetic)

more lights

a piston ring installer/cleaner (or instead, the rings can be installed by hand with the right method and the old piston rings can be used to clean the slots.)

propane torch to heat stubborn bolts

various sizes of wood boards

Hanyes, Chiltons, the Saturn FSM, and Saturnfan's how-to section will all come in handy too.

a camera to help remember wire routing and such.

safety items - first aid kit, fire extinguisher, ect...
