Default "Smokin"

I have an oppertunity to buy a '95 Saturn wagon. BUT She smokes bad when first started. If you drive for awhile it will clear up. If idling and I rev the engine it will smoke a bit. Other than that in ultra condition and the engine runs smooth and starts great. Could this be valve seals? Or could this be a more serious issue? Are these Saturns prone to any particular engine problems that could cause this? Thanks in advance.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

I purchaced a 95 SC that smoked bad on startup myself.

A simple tuneup of plugs, wires and ECTS remedied it. The bad ECTS caused too much fuel to be sent... I'd suggest taking the connector off the ECTS and see if its corroded/green. If it is, there is a good chance that the sensor is a large contributor to the smoking problem.

Thats not to say that the smoke is not valvetrain / piston ring related tho. Is the smoke black or white btw?
