Saturn Service Manual on a Apple Macintosh

I thought it would be useful for some to know that I successfully installed the official GM service manual that comes on a DVD on my Macintosh. You can install it if you run VM Fusion...not by following the installation instructions as that will fail at the point where you would install VMware Player.

All that is needed is to extract the files from the database (the .rar file) using the Stuffit Extractor freeware tool, and then launch XP Professional.vmx using VM Fusion. It will modify the folder of files the extractor produces (you need to let it do that) but then it will run. You don't need the VMware Player.

I was running VM Fusion 5.0 in a Mac with OS X 10.8.2.
