![]() We swapped out the frowny face mount today because I was sure that's what was causing vibration. Oh. My. Goodness!!!! What a difference!! I cannot believe how super quiet everything is now.

![]() Showing off my now oh so quiet engine...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ixatL9isXk Except for one thing! The A/C makes a bearing noise - so I guess that's next on the list.

![]() With the help of Nekomimi and following the procedure on Richpin's video, I took off the new drive belt and re-installed it. It's tight in there!

![]() Replaced the fried ICM in my sister's '02 SL2 with a new AC Delco one from RockAuto. After clearing the flooded engine and fluttering the gas pedal a bit I got the car started. Once the idle stabilized I let it burn off the gas sitting in the exhaust and made sure no SES codes got thrown before I took it for an hour long drive. All's good!
... Purple 1994 SW2 auto. 317k+ miles. Head gasket replaced due to an overheat at ~261k. Timing chain replaced for good measure. Passes California smog testing.

![]() Today, I reinforced the armrest on the inside of the driver's door with wood. The white plastic that gives it its shape had cracked/broken in several places, and had split the gray vinyl(?) covering. The wood pieces, attached to the unbroken parts of the white plastic with drywall screws, restore the armrest's rigidity nicely.
Last year, I reinforced the flip-up door to the center console with wood for the same reason, the same way except I attached the wood directly to the hinge.

![]() Congratulations! You and I have bookends. Yours is the last of the breed and mine (1993 SW2) is the first.

![]() Replaced the OEM PCV valve with a fixed orifice one and the air filter in my '94 SW2. The idle is smooth as butter now. I'll have to see how it impacts oil burning.

![]() I changed the full synthetic Walmart Super Tech 5w30 oil with full synthetic Walmart Super Tech 5w30 oil. The white purolator oil filter from Walmart was replaced by a white Purolator oil filter from the same Walmart where it sat next to the previously mentioned oil filter on the same store shelf.
Oh by the way, my 1997 SW2 sits smack dab in the arithmatic middle of the S- series Wagon book shelf. ... • 1997 SW2 used 12/29/2011 with 124,200 -27 mpg • 2004 Ion3 new 11/2003 (totaled) 11/2011 -23 mpg • 1994 SL1 new traded • 1992 SL2 new traded for above * 1986 Yamaha ce50 Jog -100 mpg
