Default 93 SL2 Master cylinder port sizes.

I see the specs on Rock auto that the primary ports use M13 x 1.5 and the
Secondary uses m10 x 1.0.
I need to TAP the M13 port because I ruined its threads.
I assume you use a M13 x 1.5 tap ?
Home Depot etc sells m12 and m14. Everyone seems to skip M13.
Primary- m13 x1.5 , m11 x 1.5

Most places charge $35 to $121+ for that tap, and you would be better just replacing the master cylinder, however;
Ebay has one for about $13, but it comes from England and shipping time is long.

SO, this one is $26 and ships out from CA, not knowing where you live tho.

OR, put a helicoil in it for a whole lot less time and money. Check with your local auto parts store nearby.

Problem is - by the time you get threads cut full purchase - the fitting will not be long enough to tighten.

Replace the MC.

Rock Auto has a closeout for $23.84 including reservoir. How do you tap it without damaging the seal in the MC or contaminating it with chips?

I vote new or junkyard MC. $17 at LKQ.

Awesome. I always thread brake lines in by hand. Easy to get them cross threaded if the lines are bent off a little bit. Keep tweaking the brake lines until you can run the nuts home by hand. Leave the wrench for the final torque.

Its only the FIRST thread in port that has been flattened.
I only have to run the tap 1 turn maybe. And Iíll do it with the MC upside down so nothing falls inside. Then wipe it out just in case.
