Default 95 SL1 L24 No compression

Just bought a 95 Saturn SL1 with a L24 engine. It has no compression while cranking. I removed the valve cover and found all the intake valves stuck open. What would cause this? Anyone have this problem? Previous owner said that it was gradually losing power and just died.

If all intake valves are stuck open, you may have 4 bent intake valves.

Did the timing chain/sprockets give way???

You may have to further tear down the engine to get a better diagnosis.

I believe you should take a look at this thread:

Do the SL1's have hydraulic valve lifters?
