Do you mean DRL? You could pull up the e-brake when you park.

in the 2002 models you can't turn the automatically headlamps if your car already turned them on. You have to turn off the car. Pull the parking brake then restart it if u want the car running without the autolamps

To disable your DRL's, open the fuse panel in the engine compartment. Pull the DRL relay out of its socket. It can be kind of tough, so be persistent. Get a pair of wire cutters and cut the 85 and 86 terminals completely off. Presto. No more daytime running lights. If you have a question about this, feel free to send a private message.

I think that he is talking about the headlights at night at a drive in. It is not good form for them to come on while one is slipping out of the show.

I believe that he wants to diable his DRL's, or Daytime Running Lights, which come on when the car is running, regardless of the position of the headlight switch.

yes in the 02 models if the auto headlamps come on they stay on until it's bright enough or you turn the car off. So if your goin to a drivethru movie park it. Turn it off...pull the parking brake then start the car. All the lights including the DRL will stay off
