I never heard of a chime for it.

Maybe try putting a sticky note on your steering wheel? Or just try putting on your seat belt.

You've gotten 2 tickets in a month for not wearing your seatbelt because you require a chime to tell you to put it on?

Dunno how to disable it, but is the connecter under the driver seat plugged in?

...
The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

Theres no idiot chime for the seat belt, only the idiot light. So dont be one. Make putting on a seat belt a habit.

Two tickets in one month would certainly be enough to change my habits. YMMV

If you really need a chime you could probably wire a piezoelectric buzzer in line with the sensor that causes the light to come on? It would take a chiltons and some wire tracing, but I suppose two tickets might make it worth it?

Buy a t-shirt with a seat belt printed on it to fool the cops

After making a conscious effort to put your belt on for a month (or less) it will become second nature...just like pushing the clutch to start the car.

If you _really_ need a dinger to remind you about putting on a seat belt, you bought the wrong car. (unless of course you can jerry rig something together)

and agreed with spacemanspif.

Oh yes there is. Turn the key to RUN with the seat belt off, and you hear the chime ring in a slow pattern, slower than the key-in-door-open pattern. Lasts about five seconds. But if the OP's door-open chime works, it's a bit of a mystery why it's not chiming for the seat belts. I'd have to check the FSM, and won't be able to for several days.

I don't see a disable for the seat belt audible (chime) in the FSM. According to the diagnostic chart the problem could be the seat belt switch or associated wiring, a ground connection or the chime module.
