Default Replaced tps on 01 SL2.. still idles high

I just replaced the tps on my 01 SL2 a week or so ago and it was fine until a few days ago. Now it will idle high after the car has been running for a while. When I shut off the car and restart it itíll run normal again.

Checked the connection of the sensor and everything looked fine. What could be causing this issue?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Where did the TPS come from? You may have a bad connector.

Go back on Amazon and reorder the A/C Delco. Aftermarket sensors aren't worth the plastic they're molded with. You may also need to replace the connector.

That A/C Delco is also an aftermarket part. It will just cost you more money for the box. Go to the pick and pull and get a good one WITH the connector. The SMP is what is in the Delco box as well, or BWD which is the same as the SMP.

You probably have a failed connector. Spray it out with contact cleaner and very lightly put some silicone on the rubber seal, do not lube the pins, socket, or inside of the connector. Spray out the TPS socket along with the connector.
