Cold weather = Very loud suspension

Hey folks,

It's getting to be winter here, and I'm finding that at lower temps my 2007 Sky Red Line gets very noisy. Specifically, it's the front suspension - creaks/squeaks at every bump or pothole. It begins to be noticeable below 48 degrees or so, and is very easily reproducible below 40. Sounds like the kind of squeak you get out of old, worn out shocks and bushings.

Anyone else having this issue?

Swaybar bushings. Not exactly uncommon and covered by warranty.

Excellent, Thanks! - I'll call the dealership. Seems odd there would be a problem with the bushings this early in the life of the car. Is it the material they're made from?

Mine has broken every year and needed to be replaced. Every year being the winter of 2008/2009 and 2009/2010. This time around they said the bushings had a different part number so hopefully that means they are a higher quality and won't fail.

I'll be really disappointed if it fails again this next winter because that's the last time I'll be in warranty. I don't want to have to pay for a part that's going to break every season.

I have a 2009 redline that has the same problem. It only does it intermitenly and never when I bring it to the dealer. very frustrating!

I've had this problem from day one, went to the dealer just after my 09 Redline Sky was purchased in 10/08. Still looking for a driver - side fender. Any one out there can help.

I have a 2007 ION, 2006 VUE 1995 SL and what i found with the 07 ion is that after a warm/hot day then it is cool/cold out that is when you get the most noise.

Sounds like a good time to upgrade to polyurathane bushings! Tighten things up a bit.
