So sad...such another great car lost!

Did anyone actually figure out what kind of damage the car has endured, up to this point?

Another Idea would be to replicate the Orange 'Rotary' SL1 and haunt the town of Iron Mountain Michigan just after the original SL1 sinks. Buzz the Rotary club meetings with the horn blaring and pull right up to the front door with the headlights shining in on the old coots, engine revving menacingly and then suddenly drive away into the night.

BWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!

....and keep doing it until it drives the town nuts.

Still, it saddens me to see what people outside of our gated Saturnfans community think of Saturn. They see it as just a generic econobox crap car.... If only they knew... People actually think that we are trolling with the SCCNA. We are not trolls, we are REAL!!!!!

Jeesh, all this outrage over what was probably a SOHC automatic....imagine the outcry if it was a SW 5spd!

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

I'll bet I lost it somewhere during Spot & Shot. I am starting to look over my shoulder because I have a hunch that some Michigan Rotary Club Spooks are after me.

This^^ No more than the car weighs without all the drivetrain it wouldn't take much to make it float. That would really make them regret their choice of automobile. Shouldn't have picked the space-aged polymer bodied American classic. Should have sunk a Honda instead. With this plan in place, the Saturn Car Club can buy a ticket for the middle of August, when we will sink the poor Orange SL1 as a sacrifice for the betterment of Saturns everywhere.

I noticed blue plastic barrels in the car's cabin. I think they want it to float enough to retrieve it when it sinks just enough to stop the clock inside. which it sounds like they have to actually retrieve the car to determine the time of sinking.

I am just sick thinking about it. Poor little SL1 has suffered enough.
