1995 Valve cover piece broke
I got a 1995 aluminum valve cover to replace my 1996 composite cover. Inside the cover are a couple black vents that extend downward. When I was cleaning it up a piece of one of those vents broke off in a V shape right in the middle.
Is this going to cause problems? Can I still use this?

Probably, not optimum but should be useable. Watch for oil being sucked into the intake. If it seems excessive then it is the broken vent. The issue shows up as excessive oil consumption greater than previously noted.
