While I want to be optimistic, basing its price on what the trailblazer is going for is not a bad approach.

Will this be the first Saturn that runs over $30k? I remember when the first loaded SC2 hit 20K. That was quite a milestone.

Top off at $37,000, fully loaded 4wd XR.

Don't compare to the Trailblazer; look at the Honda Pilot instead. That is going to be the Outlook's chief competitor.

Anyway, those numbers are awfully close to what Honda sets as MSRP for the Pilot.

AARG! I thought today was supposed to be the day that the prices were unofficially officially released.

Where is the info? Saturnfans...nada. Autoblog...nada. Inside Line...nada (heck, Inside Line still says the thing will come with a v8).

The continued lack of news is driving me nuts. When will it be available to order, really? When will I be able to test drive one in Southern Indiana?

I have looked at other posts in the forum, and I appreciate all the insight that people have provided, but still no official word from the General, right?

To at least try to be somewhat on topic,
You can get into a Tahoe for 35K. The EX-L Pilot runs 33k. The AWD Pilot EX-L w/ nav is going for 35K.

I know the Outlook is larger than a Pilot, and has some other features not available on the Honda, but comparison is inevitable. Also, I have heard the press releases saying GM quality has improved. I hope so. I owned a 97 Tahoe (and was disappointed with reliability). I own 2 Hondas. They are great.

Fair or not, GM needs to factor the perceived quality gap into pricing. The General NEEDS conquest sales on this vehicle. A relatively loaded AWD XR needs to come in at or below the 33k mark (including nav., upgraded stereo & most other options).

I'm guessing the base price for the Outlook will be about $28,000.

The thing we have to remember, these vehicles aren't going to come 'stripped down'. Here is a good way to look at it. Look at what the pricing is of a smaller Crossover like the new Rav4 or even the VUe with the same equipment: 18 inch wheels, close to 270hp V6 engine, multiple speaker sound system....and all the extras. The Smaller Crossovers equiped like the base outlook are well into the $25,000 - $27000+ range. Seeing how the outlook is a much bigger vehicle..I just can't see it coming in much below $28,000.

Judging by the GMC's price, my initial price guess will come is way too low. Your's is probably closer.
