Default Massive vibration at 100 kph

It seems that whenever I get snow and nice build-up in my wheel wells, that I get very bad front end vibration, causing the steering wheel and vibrate about 1cm up and down in rapid succession. Once the snow is gone, the vibration is gone. Why would snow in the wells cause this?

It's not actually snow in the wheel wells... What you are experiencing is an ice/snow buildup - usually found on the back of the rim.

Throughout the winter, I have to drop into work occasionally (3 heated bays), and spray out the wheels with some hot water to melt everything.

Thx. I'm taking her into Saturn tomorrow for oil change and SES fix, so she'll get her thaw then. Hopefully we'll be vibration free after that.

The time inside should do it. You could always ask them just to make sure that the wheels get a good spray when they wash it too. I'm a fan of the water method as it's a bit quicker then pulling inside and letting it do it's own thing
