2000 L-Series 2.2L Sedan
Default 2000 ls1

Never had an overheating issue, never had a leaking issue. Motor was sounding funny so I took to my local Saturn dealership and the mech found coolant on spark plug #4. He said that I either have a blown head gasket, cracked block, or a cracked head. Suggested because of 168K miles on engine that I should replace it. Any other suggestions?? I am at a loss of ideas.

Well, if the engine's been running fine and not given you any problems, I'd find out what the exact problem was and then make a decision. If it's a head or a gasket, replace that part and be on your way. If it's a block, you've pretty much got to replace the engine.
