Default Is it just me or does a 1994 SL2 have a massive sway bar?

Ive not put my SL2 on the road yet, but my gosh it has the thickest sway bar ive ever seen.we jacked up the left side of the car by the sway bar and the whole front end came up. Could this contribute to the amazing cornering this car can supposedly do?

I haven't messed with swaybars on other cars, so I couldn't tell you, but I can tell you these two things: SOHC cars have a smaller front swaybar (and no rear swaybar), and some people who mod these cars for handling upgrade the rear swaybar, and downgrade the front bar to the SOHC bar in order to get the balance they like.

DON'T jack the car up by the sway bar. It's not made for those kinds of loads; IIRC, it's hollow. It also is an integral part of the front suspension, not just a "bolt-on"; it fixes the location of the control arm, and thus the front wheel. So if you bend/break it, you render the car undriveable.
