Default Lift Gate problems

Has anyone had an issue with their lift gate? The power lift gate off the Key fob, and on the console work fine. (Door goes up/down) I cannot open it manually. The button on the lift gate to auto close also does not work.

There was a recall campaign #07073, issued March 2007 that addresses a failure of the lift gate switch assembly as you describe. I would book it into your service dept. to have it and any of the other outstanding Product Enhancment, Service Update and Safety campaigns completed.

Thats one problem (yea! ) that hasn't shown up on Lambchop ....yet.... but when I took Lambchop in for recall fixes they did order a switch anyway as Lambchop was listed on that recall campaign.

No liftgate problems here either. You can lower it automatically without the key fob by pressing the black rubber pad on the edge of the liftgate while standing outside the vehicle.

Dropped it off this afternoon to have it looked at. They took it right in, gave me a rental car, and replaced the lift gate latch. All good now. Pickin it up in the AM. Gotta love that service.

The switch is not an automatic replacement in the campaign. There is an inspection process that makes the determination if the switch must be replaced. If it's non-functional it will have to be replaced.
