2002 L-Series 3.0L Sedan
Default ? On Melted Wire in Harness

I was just curious to see if anybody else has had this problem. My parents have an L300 V6 2002 and we had an automatic starter put in a Valet, which is one of the best products out there, but the people who installed it are out of business and its acting quite strange. It would start and then shut rite down and now the car will just die at any random point in time. We brought it to someone who specializes in eletronics and eletrical problems with cars and he chased down a wire that had nothing to do with the automatic starter that was actually in the original harness that was MELTED..... I was just wondering if anybody knew what the heck is up with that or if anybody has encountered a melted wire in there stock wiring harness under the dash?
The technician said it has absolutley nothing to do with the automatic starter so it just got me curious to find out...

PLEASE HELP lol
Thank you,
Matt

Is it made by DEI? Model? We may share the same remote starter that I've had since last year. I'm curious as to what that wire that burned did to your parents car, disabled or an accessory not working such as the rear defroster? More specifics needed as I may be able to point you to the shop that installed mine but its out on Long Island. PM me if you need more info.

well im not sure the car should be back tomorrow and the company who made the automatic starter is called "Valet" so... im not sure if it was DEI or not.. but it was one of the more significant wires for the onboard CPU because it was continuing to make the car think there was a code to be thrown thus the service engine soon light would come on. im not sure the place who installed it was Sound City in Denville, NJ and idk. getback to me if you can thanks
