Do these bulbs really work that much better?

The p/n for these bulbs (including opera lights) is Wagner # PC118. This should be correct for all 2002-2007 Vue, 2000-2002 S-Series, and 2000-2005 L-Series.
I figured I would post a correction for this. The PC118 bulbs that many aftermarket catalogs have listed do NOT work.

You can use the Chevy p/n 22695949 bulbs (used in 2005-2006 Chevy Equinox clusters) for the same applications listed above. They are cheaper and more accessible since there are many more Chevy dealerships.

Just for clarity, on my '06 the fog lights were H11. Not sure if there was a change mid year or if they aren't all equipped the same but I would advise anyone looking to change the fogs on an '06 to check first before buying the bulbs.

So for anyone with an 07 attempting to replace a back up light beware that you will need 3057 NOT 3156 bulbs.
I wish I would have read this sooner, the rule also applies to 2006 & 2005, yet nothing in the documentation must have changed.

I'm not sure of the reason, but the backup seems to only use the lower fillament.

Does anyone know if this price includes the base?

Correct... H11 is right...

I believe RockAuto has this lamp wrong in their system, they had listed the 880 from the earlier VUE's...

Looks like the B8.4D from superbrightleds.com are drop in replacements for the dash, they even have the tabs. They look great in my dash, just wanted to give everyone a heads up! Someone else had posted this previous but i wanted to add another confirmation.

Did that one require a bunch of messing around to get them to work? I gave up on the ones I got from Superbrights.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I ordered the B8.4D bulbs from superbrightleds.com and they aren't working in my Vue's instrument cluster. Just thought I’d add that to the info in case someone else is planning on ordering LEDs for their gauges.

I used 194 for the shifter bezel, license plate bulbs, and map light. 194 can't be used in the odometer so this post should be modified.

Same issue here, ordered bulbs from Rockauto, listed as needing the 194 for instrument panel, and these are obviously 4x too big. My entire cluster appears to be lit by the white plastic based mini bulbs. Any other sources for plain replacements? I searched Amazon for 12v 1.5W instrument bulb, and saw that some BMW/Mercedes used what looks to be identical bulbs.

I'm about to take one to the store and open packages until I found one that fits.

I have a 2006 Red Line, and the taillights have Sylvania 3157Ks in ALL positions. I didn't buy it new, but Ks are not something you find at parts stores which makes me believe they were that way from the factory. I have a 2006 standard Vue also, but I haven't checked that one.

Likely, but why the misinformation in the owners manuals when they have been doing this for years, not even an addendum.

With all the newer Auto Lamp technology, LED's & such, one would think you would be able to go into O Riely's, Advance, Auto Zone (or even Wal*Mart) ect & purchase these @ a retail level, but they seem to keep this an on-line thing only, & if you can find them, they want your first born for them.

I'll have to inquire on distributorship if I ever go back for a project @ Nela Park.

I'm out in Lake County, though had lived in Maple Heights-Heights & Macedonia. (winters are more harsh where I'm at now from the other thread).

Nela is an interesting place , I had worked contract on a few projects over the years, one in Automotive.
